The SAAS LOMO A9 faithfully recreates the iconic LOMO 19A9 large diaphragm tube condenser microphone, preserving its distinctive capsule, tube, transformer, and circuit design while improving everyday usability. Expected in 2028, subject to change.

The SAAS LOMO A9 is a faithful recreation of the iconic LOMO 19A9 large diaphragm tube condenser microphone. Our goal is to stay as close to the original as possible, preserving its proprietary M7 style capsule with a tuned rear backplate, 6J1P tube, proprietary toroidal output transformer, and paper in oil (PIO) coupling capacitor.
Our planned changes focus on usability: a standard stand mount thread, a readily available connector, a proprietary pop filter, and a custom Soviet style suspended shock mount. Everything that defines the original microphone’s sound remains at the heart of our design, with special attention to reliability and ergonomics.
Target availability: 2028, with an earlier release possible as development progresses. Timing subject to change.
