About these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern purchases directly from Soviet American Audio Systems LLC (“SAAS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through sovietamerican.com or a direct sales quotation.

Please review these terms before placing an order. Purchases from independent dealers are governed by the dealer’s sales terms, together with any applicable manufacturer warranty and mandatory legal rights.

You must have legal capacity to enter into the purchase agreement. If purchasing for a business, you must have authority to act for that business.

Products and availability

We sell new audio equipment, vintage and used equipment, parts, and merchandise.

Vintage and used products may show age-related wear or previously disclosed repairs or modifications. Please review the individual listing for the item’s condition and included accessories. Nothing in these terms excuses an inaccurate description or an undisclosed defect for which we are legally responsible.

Batch releases are offered for purchase only when physical inventory is available. We do not accept paid preorders for products awaiting production. Signing up for a batch notification does not reserve inventory, create an order, or require payment.

Prices, payment, and orders

Prices are in U.S. dollars unless expressly stated otherwise. Applicable taxes and shipping charges will be shown during checkout or disclosed in a quotation before you agree to purchase.

Payments are processed through Stripe or another payment method expressly agreed for the transaction.

If an inventory or pricing error prevents fulfillment, we will contact you promptly. We will not substitute a product or increase an agreed price without your agreement. If the order cannot proceed, we will cancel it and promptly refund amounts paid.

International orders

International purchases are currently arranged by quotation or through a dealer, depending on the destination.

Before accepting payment for a direct international order, we will confirm the available shipping arrangement, charges, estimated timing, and responsibility for import duties, taxes, and customs fees. These responsibilities will be stated in the quotation or order agreement.

International shipping availability varies by destination. Mandatory consumer rights remain applicable where required by law.

Shipping and delivery

Unless a different timeframe is disclosed before purchase, U.S. orders are estimated to dispatch within one to two weeks after order placement, with delivery estimated within a further one to two weeks after dispatch.

International estimates are provided separately.

If we cannot ship within the promised timeframe, we will notify you, provide an updated estimate, and offer the choice of accepting the delay or canceling for a full refund. We will obtain any consent required by applicable law.

Please provide accurate delivery information and contact us promptly if it needs correction.

Lost or damaged shipments

All shipments are insured. Contact us if your order is lost or arrives damaged. When reasonably possible, keep the packaging and provide photographs to help us investigate.

We will arrange replacement of lost or transit-damaged items. If a suitable replacement is unavailable, including for a unique vintage item, we will provide a full refund of the affected purchase and applicable shipping charges.

Insurance claims do not reduce your statutory rights or require you to resolve our carrier claim yourself.

Cancellation before shipment

You may request cancellation before shipment by contacting us. A canceled order that has not shipped will receive a full refund. Once an order has shipped, the return policy and any applicable statutory cancellation rights apply.

30-day returns

You may initiate a return within 30 days after delivery by contacting us.

We will provide return instructions. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We do not charge a restocking fee.

For an eligible return, we will refund the purchase price and applicable sales tax. Original shipping charges and return shipping costs are not refundable.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, unless another method is agreed, within 30 days after we receive the returned product, or sooner when required by applicable law. Your payment provider may take additional time to post the credit.

This voluntary return policy does not limit rights relating to defective, damaged, or misdescribed goods, or applicable statutory withdrawal and refund rights.

Limited product warranties

Vintage and used audio equipment purchased directly from us carries a 14-day limited warranty, beginning on delivery, covering functional defects other than conditions specifically disclosed and accepted before purchase.

These warranties do not cover accidental damage. Damage caused by misuse or improper operation is not a manufacturing or workmanship defect.

To request service, contact us with your order details and a description of the problem.

These limited warranties are additional to applicable statutory rights. Their stated durations do not shorten any legal guarantee, implied warranty, or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited. You may have other rights that vary by state or country.

Reviews, uploads, and website use

You are responsible for content you submit and must have permission to share it. Do not submit unlawful content, another person’s private information without permission, or material that infringes someone else’s rights.

When you submit a review or content for public display, you grant us permission to host, format, and display it for that purpose. You retain ownership of your content.

Do not misuse the website, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorized access, or use it for fraudulent transactions.

Our website text, photographs, graphics, and branding belong to us or their respective owners. Their use beyond what applicable law permits requires the appropriate permission.

Indiana law and courts

To the extent permitted by applicable law, these terms and direct purchases from SAAS are governed by Indiana law.

Subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules, disputes will be brought in the state courts located in Monroe County, Indiana, or the appropriate federal court serving that location.

If you are a consumer entitled to mandatory protections or a right to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction, including your country of residence, this provision does not remove those protections or rights.

Changes and contact

The terms agreed when an order is placed apply to that order. Later updates do not retroactively reduce rights associated with an existing purchase.
